Comments on this Consulate-General
I applied in May 2014 for a computerized birth certificate, as required by th NIB for easy processing of retirement benefit. I have been waiting ever since for an email response that my documents were either received, being processed or any other factor that may or may not affect or caused delay in processing, and that I can forward to the National Ins. Board as proof of activity. To this date, no response. But having read some of the comments here and other places of the lengthy delay in processing, I guess I should have some hope.
It is very sad, however, that in this age of super fast technological systems with massive data transfer capabilities, that anyone should have to wait any lomger than two weeks maximun for any computer generated document. I strongly believe, that the citizens of T&T should be better served/treated..
It has been over 3(three months)since I applied for the machine readable passport. Why in HELL is this passport taking this long???????????The EMPLOYEES at the Consulate behave like they are doing you a favor
How can I contact someone in government in Trinidad?I NEED MY PASSPORT!
I visited the office to get the new machine readable passport. The staff behaved as if they were all having a very bad day. They moved slower than molasses. They were unfriendly and behave as if we were begging for something. The staff in this government office do not answer the phone, return messages or respond to email - how ridicules is that. Why they bother having phones installed, advertising email. Don't waste your day off going to this office its the worst Trinidad Consulate office. Any other office has to be better that that one.
Applied for since February 2014 still have not received it , no answer at this end no response to email, so I called T,dad and was told a document was missing , I went and resubmitted it and still waiting.
the man who is fifty nine and the spelling of his name is wrong , well all you need is a friend
I've been trying to check the status of birth certificate application that was submitted 3 months ago with no avail.
I called the consulate number provided on the application, with no luck. The phone is never answered by a live person, you leave messages and no one calls you back. I called the consulate in Miami and get a live person every single time, and any questions I have is answered in a timely manner. I don't get why the Consulate in New York is so unprofessional, no one answers the phone or extensions you were provided nor do they return calls. What kind of government agency is this.
Hi, could I renew my trinidad ID card at the consulate.
Hi can some one please answer the phone at the consulate I have been trying for days to get any answer to hear a voice on the other end hum only Trini's does do business like that what a waste Him❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓
Some of you waiting up to one year, well I am waiting two years plus. They have everything except I was called and told that I have to find someone x amount of years older than me in Trinidad to say they know my mother because on one paper the E came before the U and another one is the U came before the the E. Now I am 59 years where am I finding anyone there since I have lived here for more than 32 years ? They all dead.
I called this stupid office 135 times today , 77 times yesterday ....I been calling every day for bout 2 mths 1 yr 4 mths still waiting for passport ..they can't find my documents....I'm so fed up ..I will get my American passport n call it a day ....they stick they nose up when u go before them to see bout ur passport ...listen !!!! All yuh TRINI like we not because u in ny u all better than us ..u all suck ....
If anyone from the consulate is reading this, can you please give us some sort of guidance here. I do not have my passport and you took my old expired one. Please answer some questions on your website:
Are you currently working on the passports?
What is the expected additional delay?
Why the delay?
Can you return the old passport in the meantime?
Please recognize that a wait beyond one year to renew a passport is shamefull and unacceptable.
