Comments on this Permanent Mission to the UN
I have searched online about the importation of my pet dogs (3yrs old and 10yrs old respectfully). The dogs are to be imported from Switzerland where I have been residing for the past 3 1/2 years.I am meeting up with advice that is non- correlating. The site http://www.ttcgnewyork.com/regulationsregardingpets.html, states that there is 1 months quarantine from Switzerland yet none from the United Kingdom - however my dogs are vaccinated so that I may travel with them to the United Kingdom where they are exempt from quarantine. I have also been told that there are only 2 laboratories in the world whose Rabies results will be accepted from (United Kingdom and USA)! There seems also to be an issue of 5 months quarantine also. What are the exact legislations (I have sent 3 e-mails over the last 2 weeks without result to the veterinary authorities in Trinidad, The dogs are registered with ANNIS in Switzerland and as the Rabies experiments are SWiss and the World Rabies forums are all in Switzerland I am unable to discern what is correct. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated - especially as it is expected that I travel to Trinidad for the 1st March 2013.
Thank you.
