could I get a second double entry tourist Visa in Savannakhet ?
People have written here about their difficulties sometimes in getting back to back tourist visas.

I have only one double entry tourist Visa in my passport which will expire in October.

Without asking for any guarantees what would be the chances of me being able to get a second
tourist Visa back-to-back at the Savannakhet consulate?

Excellent Service
have just come back from Savannakhet and have to say the service at this consulate was excellent. The staff replied promptly to my emails, handled my application in a very professional manner and even pasted my photographs to the application for me as I had forgotten and could not find any glue.
I applied for a imm o and was at the counter for less than 2 minutes. My wife chatted to the staff for about 5 minutes having a bit of a giggle. All in all one of the best experiences I have had at a Thai consulate in over 3 years.
Nice location along the river side road in front of the Dinosaur museum. About 2 blocks North of the main temple in town.
Very good sumtam along the river restaurants and at night they turn into the laos style buffet restaurants.

Single entry Non O for retirement?
Please tell me...are they currently issuing 90 day Single-entry non O visas for the purpose of applying for a retirement visa extension in Thailand?
I am not talking about non O visas based on marriage, but instead I am asking about non O visas based on retirement. I know what doucuments are required, I just want to know if such as visa is possible.

Visa & Services
This is my first visit to this website as I was searching for a contact number and I do agree with Tim Rooney that this is a GREAT site. I want to share my experience with dealing with the Thai Consulate in Savannakhwt, Lao. It has been nothing but a pleasant and professional experience for me. The staff has been very supportive of me if I called them with concerns, as well as support with the staff at the Consulate location. The location of the Consulate in my opinion is in a very good location because of its easy access to guest rooms you can rent for 350baht. I want to thank the Thai Consulate for supporting my needs for a Non-Immigrant Type 0 Visa. The only suggestion I have for this website to help travlers find the Thai Consulate is you might want to put a Map showing a general outline of streets, and other bussiness nearby. Hope this email will encourage people to use this office when they are in need of any type of Visa.
