Comments on this Embassy
Hi,
I am lived around 500KM from Addis Ababa. I was invited by one non-governmental organization to attend a workshop and hence I need a visa to Tanzania. I was calling Tanzanian embassy in Addis Ababa on 12/09/2012 to get information how to get visa. The phone was picked by a lady and I inform from where I am and I also asked her the documents needed and how many days should they need to give the visa. She responds to me aggressive as she doesn’t know and at the end, she informs me to try.
On 13/09/2012 I travel to AA and get in the embassy to apply the visa. I provide all the documents to the lady and I inform all my travel details. She returns all the documents to me and she inform to me as I can’t get the visa within the specified time. I tried to remember her as I was calling her on 12/09/2012 and to understand me. But she refuses to accept my case and hence, I can’t able to attend the workshop in Tanzania.
I think the lady is not a right person, she can inform and tell to me as I can’t able to get the visa before I travel around 500km to arrive to Addis Ababa. Even when I was waiting my turn, her answer to other gusts was not good and she didn’t give service accordingly. Hence, I just want to inform the concerned body to give advice or take measure on her to readjust her behavior and respect the gusts.
Many thanks.

Funny enough, I wanted to travel to Zanibar for tourism and I was told that I have to get an invitation letter from someone in Tanzania. People, it is the 21st century. We should travel to a country on a tourist visa even without knowing anyone in the country, provided that we cover our expenses. Time to wake up. Btw, I am a holder of Ethiopian passport!!
the embassy needs more sincerity
Ethiopia don't have Embassy in Tanzania. The Ethiopian Embassy in Nairobi is accredited to Tanzania too.
the tanzania embassador in adiss ababa is the one who abuse his power to the weak one, i have been there lkn hajanisaidia jamani sasa huyo ni balozi gani
I am suprised that I a Tanzanian is required to get a vissa to travell to Adisababa Ethiopia. What a shame. What is AU for? Is Adis still the headquaters of AU?
