my wife in habana
Hi Sir,
I do not know if you can help me. let me tell you the problem.
I am an Italian citizen, at present in Wilmington NC USA. I am married with a cuban citizen women, Yerina Navarro Rueda, we were living togheter and with our son, leonardo, 17 months old, in my boat (s/v ZAO) in the Marina Hemingway in Habana. About 20 days ago I had to come to US for work and my wife stay there with a permision ( a Pase) of the Capitania valid till 23 of june. Now happened that a week ago she was going out of the marina with the coushions of the boat to make news cover for them. The "security" of the marina stopped her because was taking something off the boat (HER Boat !!!!!) and after a discussion pushed her out of the Marina then out of the boat, at present her house. She has not where to live, she has not house in Havana. and in addition, as you know, I cannot send her money from here. So at the present my wife and my son (18 months old) are in the street asking people for hospitality ! My working plans take me in Habana about the 5th of june, not earlier.
Sir, could you help my familiy ? Could you call Marina Hemingway and the "security" to stop this unbelivable, anachronistic and cruel situation ? I would thank you very much, I will appreciate

Missing US Pilot Matanzas, Cuba 12/15/1961
" On Dec. 15, 1961, several farmers cutting cane in a field outside the town of Matanzas in the province of the same name, saw a small twin engine aircraft dropping leaflets over the area. These leaflets were of an anti-Communist nature. Anti-aircraft artillery fire from the ground hit the small craft as it passed overhead and the plane crashed into the side of a sugar cane mill about a mile from the city limits. Both pilots, who were identified as Americans, were killed upon impact."

Dear Sirs,
Looking for information or contact where I might find information on my father Robert L. Thompson who was shot down over Matanzas, Cuba 12/14-12/17-1961 while dropping anti-Castro leaflets. Rumor is he is buried behind a small church outside of Matanzas not far from the crash site. Would like to find his remains and bring him home. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
