Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an Indian national passport holder residing in Brussels, Belgium since December 2011 and working here . I have been issued Type D visa which is valid till December 2012.
I would like to travel explore your esteemed country during the holiday season in May'12. and wish to do my hotel
booking and air tickets from Brussels.
Before proceeding the bookings , wanted to check with your office , based on my D type Belgium visa can I travel to Swiss for tourism or do I need to apply for a separate visa for your country .
Or if the existing visa is sufficient at the airport in Swiss.
On internet it was mentioned that there is a EU visa code in 2010 which allows D type visa holder to travel in SChengen countries . http://europa.eu/rapid/pressReleasesAction.do?reference=MEMO/10/111&format=HT%20ML&aged=0&language=EN&guiLanguage=en
Appreciate your response as I would like to plan my travel for the month of May..
Best regards,
N Kumar
