GOVERNMENT OF SUDAN: DON'T EXECUTE 8 MONTHS PREGNANT MARIAM YEHYA IBRAHIM FOR BEING A CHRISTIAN!
"Mariam Yehya Ibrahim, a Sudanese Mother, Doctor and Christian, has been sentenced to flogging and death by hanging unless she recants her Christian faith."
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION AND SAVE MARIAM'S LIFE - "I ALSO EXPECT MUSLIMS TO SUPPORT THIS PETITION!"
https://www.change.org/petitions/government-of-sudan-don-t-execute-8-months-pregnant-mariam-yehya-ibrahim-for-being-christian?
Mariam Yehya Ibrahim, a Sudanese Mother, Doctor and Christian, has been sentenced to flogging (100 lashes of the cane) and death by hanging unless she recants her Christian faith. She is 8 months pregnant and has an 18 month old son. Please join the international community in asking Sudan not to execute her for being a Christian.
Mariam is charged with adultery on the grounds that her marriage to a Christian man from South Sudan is considered void under Sharia Law, for which the penalty is flogging. She is also charged with apostasy, or abandonment of religion, for which the penalty is death. Islam is the only faith that carries such a penalty which is endorsed by Sharia Law.
Mariam is the daughter of a Christian woman and a Muslim man. She was raised as a Christian by her Ethiopian mother after her father left and never returned. However, Sudanese Islamic Sharia Law mandates that children born to Muslim fathers are considered Muslim.
Daniel Wani her husband, a Sudanese man with US citizenship who is also a Christian said, "she is on "Death Row", and is shackled at her ankles, and her legs are badly swollen as she awaits death by hanging." In prison with her is the couple's 18 month old child, Martin.
The fact that a woman could be sentenced to death for her religious choice, and to flogging for being married to a man of an allegedly different religion is abhorrent. We call upon the government of Sudan to respect the right to freedom of religion and stop the execution.
This is a person persecuted for her faith who needs the voices and attention of the world's community to save her life and we must continue to sound the call for freedom, wherever in the world it is lacking. Freedom is our most precious asset as human beings, and the freedom to practise a peaceful faith without mockery, interference or penalty should be endorsed by every other faith and by every country, government, and institution in the world. Islam is the only faith that does not endorse these ideals.
Sharia Law is evil and has nothing to do with the Islamic faith. Those beings that practise Sharia Law are no better than Hitler who killed 6.000.000 Jews. They are the lowest evil scum on this earth. The sooner the civilised world does something about it the better, or they will continue to torture and murder innocent women and children. The world must stand up against this massive crime against humanity in the name of Islam now!
