My dream has always been to work in the Consulate General of Spain in NYC. I have been in there so many times for visas and have always had a great experience; the employees are so nice have always cooperated well with me. I am fluent in Spanish and English and I just really want to get a job there! How do I do this? When are they hiring?!

Today is exactly 31/2 months after my husband and I visited Madrid, on our way to Berlin, Germany, to celebrate with my sister, a cloistered nun, her 25th jubilee anniversary. However, all the excitements turned into a nightmare on our second day of the 5 day visit, because, my husband was pick pocketed of our cash money, about $2,800 including the $1,000 donation and gift to the nuns from friends and relatives, on our day tour to Toledo. My husband and I were so devastated and felt so bad that we wanted to get out of Madrid the soonest possible because, to begin with, the hard earned mondy, including the donation, were all gone in just a blink of an eye. According to our Tourist Guide, this is the first time it happened to her and her group. I don't know if people report incidents like this because of the limited time you have. But we decided to report to the police what happened, even if it meant spending the whole day waiting, because according to the policeman, when we went there at 9:00 A.M. the line was very long and that it would be better to come back at 7:00 P.M. which we did. Up to this time, we haven't heard anything about the result. The policemen who took the report told us that they will send the result through our Embassy here. It's been 3 1/2 months now and we never heard anything.
Up to this time, we really were not able to recover from the incident. We didn't tell anything to anyone including my 2 grown up kids. We only told them the story 2 weeks ago and they blamed us for not telling them what happened. We told them we wanted to forget everything, like it didn't happen. After knowing this, they pushed us to report this to make your tourists aware of incidents like this, for them to be careful and avoid the same thing happening to them.
With that amount of money, I could have bought a lot of things that the nuns needed, which we really planned, but this incident happened. I just prayed that whoever took this money needed it more than than we and the nuns do.
