how many days required for cabin crew?
Hi :) I'm a cabin crew with Emirates Airline. Would love to go to Spain for Christmas vacation. Due to my work, I need passport with me all the time. I wonder is there any exception for cabin crew with visa working days? How long do I need to leave the passport with Spanish embassy or consulate?

residence visa for spain
I am an iranian citizen who has been going to spain as a tourist for some years now. Initially i did not have any problems getting my visa from your consolate, and your staff was always friendly and helpful. However having bought a property in spain two years ago i have been treated in a less friendly and even a rather rough manner by two of the staff at the embassy counter. One lady who has long blondish red hair and who is older has been assigned the duty to make life particularly difficult for me and i have a real sense of fear that there is some prejudice practiced against my case ever since she (and another indian colleague of hers) have taken my requests for visas and such "in hand". Your embassy was not like this and for a few years i had no problems and would give my papers in regularly and get my visa like everyone else. Why is it that since i have bought property in spain i am being treated shabbily i really don't know. Now this same lady mentioned above had my request for a resident visa last (2011) july and she told me that due to the summer months she would not send my papers to madrid. In september when i returned from spain she was saying why didn't you show up in the summer cause i was calling you for your visa. Now i have had to hear her tell me that she has not sent the papers for my resident visa yet because she is waiting for her indian colleague (who is just as rough as she is) to get back from his holidays.
I am wondering whar it is that these people want from me! Is it fair also to be asked in an interview about ones private life, ie why are you living alone? and such irrelevant questions? What if i was gay or some other more acceptable category of person? I am seriously being hounded by some of your staff who seem to have the duty to make life difficult for people like myself who have invested in your country with the belief of finding a bit of tranquility and culture somewhere nice in europe. How long am i to be punished for this? Am i going to have to bow down my head to her and her friend just because i am a woman who does not like to make scenes in front of everyone. I have at other times asked to speak to the consol himself about my plight but have been steered away by the other colleagues (who make it seem as if there is no one one can talk to about such misbehaviour). I hope that you take what i say into consideration. I hope your embassy is not turning into the serfdom of the powerful "insider people" against the weak "visiters" who are in need of a stay permit in your country. I have even heard one of the staff ( a lady) working there say to some one (complaining about "customer service") applying for a visa:
"We don't need you, but you need us". Having lived in europe for over 30 years, i am truely astonished that we can't even complain to some reasonable person about the treatment which is dished out to us.
I hope that having written this letter i will not have to face more of the same punishments for having opened my mouth.
