A chemistry teacher seeking employment with your domestic or international schools in Korea.
I worked in Zimbabwe as early as 1986 as a temporary teacher for a period of one year. Initially I had no intention of being a school teacher but just took this up for an occupational job. With no experience what so ever, I used to be so excited delivering interesting and a challenging concepts to the able, the averaged and the ungifted elderly men and women seated on the classroom benches. I was comparably younger than most of my students. The majority of them were disadvantaged during the war error hence had to attend school at the age of between 20 and 30 years when I was aged 22.
These students of mine used to admire my enthusiastic content delivery approach and were always with me after school hours engaging me to extra work. They could even visit me during weekends, coming with different subject content that we tackled together. This created in me, a new interest and an opportunity to revise what used to give me a challenge during my school days. Interacting with so many of them in a foreign village gave me a prestigious recognition even from their parents that I used to meet around shops, pathways and boreholes and did not know who they were by names.

Through induction, I then learnt that if lives among other people and as their model leader; one should;
• Be excited by that community’s role and subscribe to their ethos.
• Love the processes of learning and teaching and have a good prospect of working with them, especially those who are academically less gifted for they are the objects of the teaching and learning process
• Go an extra mile’ in terms of time and commitment to get the very best result from your target people.
• Inculcate in your students a culture of not being afraid to admit to seeing themselves as potential future leaders.
• Use your break time as a duty opportunity to talk to the keen, the less advantaged and the unwilling students.
• Be perseverant, quick to praise and slow to criticise.
• Have a conviction that teaching is a demanding job hence one should react positively to those demands rather than grumbling.
• Be keen to continually develop your own skills from the daily experiences that you have with the students.
• Know all your students in class by name and surname.
• Attend to meetings, forums and workshops.
From then, I obtained a scholarship to Cuba (A Latin American country) housing a diverse of nationalities engaged in various fields of training whilst I, myself was in the education sector. I discovered that there should be an all-pervading sense of respect for every member of the culturally diverse community for progress sake. Students are sensitive to a good understanding of violence, intolerance and prejudice but; without exception they should be protected to an extent that they are able to state that this is not a feature of life around their model teacher and ultimately their school environment.
My training was so intense to the extent that a diversity of subjects was a must to take and pass. Failing any one of them was worth a flight ticket back home. Of the entire subject curricular I failed none. I can be given the field of sport, a field of mathematics and / the technical (metal work, carpentry, woodwork, and building), agriculture and make a positive mark for every subject integrates with another.

Precisely; chemistry is my major. It comprises of several other branches that may individually go and challenge as subjects. To make me a specialist in this subject were the Mathematics and Physics auxiliary subjects taken as subsidiaries to the major. For this reason I do take the sciences as a combination of the three without a profound depth but an insight into the true scientific world of which mathematics is the mother body.


As an experienced teacher, my tenacious and proactive approach resulted in numerous important contract wins. I managed to immediately rise to an HOD post in the sciences department supervising a team of seven teachers of whom they were all my seniors at my first school from the university.
I made it possible that the department teachers;
• Were all in service trained and attested good in assessing, controlling, planning, recording and attending to planned departmental and school events.
• Were registered with a professional body of which my current one is the SACE in RSA.
• Created positive learning environments in the classrooms.
• Could plan, control, record and report on assessments.
• Worked closely with the other teachers to form a harmonious entity school.
• Respected other peoples’ cultures, religions, social values and sexuality.
• Helped to create constructive and trusting relationships throughout the school amongst teachers and students.
• Plastered an expectation that learning begins as soon as each lessons start.
• Made students confident to engage actively in lessons and feel safe to venture answers to questions and make mistakes from which they could be objectively corrected taking into cognisance the fact that a human mind errs.
• Ensured that students acquired new knowledge and skills, developed ideas and increased their understanding.
• Understood the progress they were making through well planned lessons, modules, assessment objectives matched to students’ needs and with an appropriate level of challenge in an increasing order of complexity.
• Organised skilful use of resources, including time, information learning technology, homework and a consistent effective behaviour and crisis management.
• Enabled students to develop their learning habits of concentration, working productively both independently, collaboratively, and producing a well presented work.

This made my department staff to be creative, positive, constructive, self-critical, cheerful and charismatic at all times when interacting with whoever ( students, parents, staff, visitors and the school management. science group I was confident that was collaboration, respect, punctuality, loyalty, contributions, confidence, orderliness,
support, peace, patience, attention, paternity, understanding, consideration and friendliness to the tender students were the spice of the day such as to encourage the youngsters receive the academic challenges with joy.
As the science cluster coordinator I would outsource skilled personnel to workshop the department staff on excellent teaching skills, strong communication and inter-personal skills, on how to motivate and manage pupils for the proper elevation of the region’s academic results.

Responsibility is called for in each and every teacher.
This one is not acquired from current work place because of the fear of someone but; is an orientation, an acquisition from birth to your professional training and then; to your work places as an acquired skill. Not enforcement.
Now it is then that one can orient his / her learners towards taking him/ her as their creative model.
The student's performances and achievements are a true reflection of their mentor not otherwise. Whatever they become may be our mirror images of true commitments and or neglect.
An exercised body is an exercised mind. Teachers should, like me manage, plan, assist and promote sporting and cultural activities within the school.
It is from there that some of our learners may be gifted other than in the academics and may make a living out of their peculiar hidden and non-academic skills. A non-engaged student may always engage oneself into extra-curricular activities of ill-discipline and misdemeanour hence I deem it necessary to manage, plan, assist and promote discipline within the class, grades and the school at large through engaging.
We as teachers must play a Pastoral role in the school and the community. To achieve this, one needs to have a clear criminal record, essential personal commitment to Christian education and willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the School, the society and the nation.

Lastly I believe that whichever an institution that engages me for a particular role, it becomes my happy home.
• I will be spending most of my time at the institution and a little at my traditional home.
• I have to be always merry at work. I need to be sociable.
• I need to have a clean mind, free of pre-occupations.
To achieve this goal; it is necessary to avoid;
• Squabbles, gossiping and neglect of the students
• Hate of the administration arising from non-compliance and unjustifiable absenteeism.
In any case delinquency is of childish nature. It is a result of failure to differentiate between the good and the bad.
As a teacher, one has to fight to eliminate this from the youth than to deliver it to them.
I shall not forget that students are our MIRROR images.
