Confused and upset
I have recently had a baby in New Zealand and Immigration has requested that we register our daughter in South Africa. I have since completed the application forms which was done in March 2011. It has been 2 months now and I have contacted SA home affairs on an update. According to SA, Wellington embassy should have given me an I.D No for my daughter in order for me to locate her passport, They also confirm that they do not have any record on registration of her birth as yet. Question? How long does it take to register her birth and why do I get mixed excuses from both SA and Wellington. According to SA, Wellington should have supplied me with a birth certificate as well as an I.d. No, which they failed to do. What is the significance in having an SA embassy here. Who are they helping, it certainly is not the South Africans. Could someone please assist me urgently with regards to my daughters application. My daughters name is Kenlyn rose valentine and she was born on the 06/01/2011, I am waiting unabridge birth cert as well as passport. Please can you assist me in obtaing these doc's as it is needed in our residency application which is due to expire on the 13 june 2011. My contact details: 09 449 2858

Finger Print Forms
Hi I have emailled some weeks ago requesting finger print forms be posted to me. I have since heard or received nothing.
It is rather disappointing as I have received such amazing service in the past when the offices were in Canberra Australia and expected better this time round as u are now located closer to me in NZ. It is such a shame that the offices have relocated to NZ.
My concerns are many , most importantly if the forms take this long , how much longer will it be before we receive our new passports as we travel in November 2011 !!

Extending TRP
I have been writing hundreds of emails and nobody gets back to me. Maybe because talking to a department official in South Africa is like talking to a brick wall.
My husband is a foreigner and got a Temporary Residence Permit when we got married in 2008. We are now in New Zealand and his permit has expired. We would like to extend this permit. CAN IT BE DONE FROM NEW ZEALAND? What would be the procedure and what would be the fees?
I feel like I'm wasting my time posting this question here.

Immigration Practitioner
Good day, I am considering moving to New Zealand as the father of my children currently lives there. I have discussed with the father (my ex husband) and he also agrees that this would be beneficial to our family. As their mother, I wish to secure employment prior to our arrival, hence my email to you. I am a registered Immigration Practitioner currently operating in South Africa and have dealings with the Immigration Dept. of Home Affairs in South Africa on a regular basis. I would like to request the possibility of employment available at the SA Embassy or Home Affairs in New Zealand. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information. Thank you for your time and for including me in your day. Kind regards, Colleen Louw (Cell: 083 766 5858)
