I am working in south afrca with a valid permit for 5 years and I had applied for the Dependent visa for my wife and 2 year old baby before 7 weeks and still not yet got their visa. I have contacted the VFS and CONSULATE in India. The staff keep telling that the visa is still being processed and vice versa. It is sad that staff at the VFS and Consulate in India have provided me with poor service. I trust that you will treat this matter with great concern and get back to me with a positive response. I applied my tourist visa on 23.11.12. Wth all required documents they asked for. I have gven sponsor letter, id proof and passport copy of sponsoror also and my covering letter as well as my bank statements wth more then 2000usd in it. My confirmed tickets as well. I just wanted to go there for a month to meet my fiance thats all. I dnt hve any plan of stayng in south africa ever. Then my visa got rejected. Is it becoz I applied directly through bloody vfs. Whixh cant even do anythng. If u guys hve to reject people always of honest people then why do u tke visa fees also in start. You shld tell in beginning itself that we wont gve visa to anyone . Why even waste our tme. You people mke me so irritate. What you need to gve a tourist visa

All Bangladeshi should apply for South African Visa or any other assistance at High commission of South Africa in Colombo. Bangladeshi Nationals are not allowed to be helped in India.

About a year ago, I applied for Indian citizenship as a South African. I am a decendent of an indentured father who came from India in 1900 to South Africa. I received professional and prompt service from the personnel at the Durban office of the Indian consulate. My compliments to the staff for efficiency.
