Jan permit not processed yet still need to be worked on
Hi I have submitted my documents for South Africa business visa on 21st march 2014, reference number BHDE/210314/0027/01. It more than a month in embassy and I am not even getting an update or status of my visa. I called South Africa consulate for 100 times and nobody responded at anytime. I called consulate in chennai and explained the situation, they said I need to follow up with Delhi only. I was told that due to security reason they took long time. But it seems like they are not issuing visa to anybody, embassies are like bridge to the nations but South Africa embassy seems like doesn't care for anybody. They need to pay attention to solve these issues.
I applied on 24th march its about a month no positive response from embassy yet still the application is pending dhde/240314/0066/01 last year I got visa in 5 working days pls consider my application favrably n urgent
Hey just saw the link u shared wd us.. If this is the case then it is really a concern for us. I am waiting for my work permit from last 4 months. Every time I inquire about visa , they say its still under process. What they want ?
I was as frustrated as a lot of friends here. My booking was on 19th & thanks to the callous & unprofessional attitude of the High Commission at New Delhi, my application remained pending (I guess everyone's application is pending) & I had to finally cancel my flight, trip & Withdraw my applications.
Just read this article and you will get the picture:

Dear All,
I request all tourists to boycott South Africa as a tourist Destination.
Nobody at Mumbai Consulate nor at VFS are responding queries of helpless Indian tourist. In fact we as Tourists are contributing to the SA Economy and these people have no value for our time and money. We should ask for refund from these people for all our travel costs and flight bookings. In fact the SA consulate should pack their bags and leave our country.
Hi everyone,i and one other person's work permit visa application was filed Jan 7,2014 and 75 more memobers's were submitted on 14 Jan 2014. It was filed directly at the SA Delhi High Commission office by PWC. We a group of nurses who are recruited by Life Healthcare,SA 2 years ago. Still now we are stuck here desperately. Whenever we call the helpdesk or walk in to the consulate, their reply is that it's still under process and yesterday they told to check next week. They say the consular officer was on leave,I wonder,if an official is on leave, why is not there a second in charge? Is a single person handling the visa applications for the whole country of South Africa? I have the reference numbers and wanted to tell them it and to get it tracked but they are not even ready to listen to it! I can't check it online,it's not possible
