Anybody planning to go to SA for a holiday, please do not do it. Due to visa delays, your holiday will be ruined. I have suffered this fate but I don't want others to suffer this too...

Press Statement on the delays with processing of Visa applications at South African High Commission in New Delhi and South African Consulate General in Mumbai
The South African High Commission is unfortunately experiencing technical problems that are affecting the issuing of travel documents to South Africa. This has resulted in delays in issuing of visas and other permits.
The High Commission would like to reassure all concerned parties that this is being addressed at the highest level and in the interim, contingency measures are in place. We are confident that a resumption of the normal flow of travel documents will resume shortly.
The High Commission is aware of the impact of this situation on visa applicants travelling to South Africa, and sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused by this situation.
The High Commission would like to emphasize that this is a technical challenge and also takes this opportunity to recommit ourselves to the provision of the highest quality service.
