5 or 7 working days for a tourist visa?
Whilst I am amazed at the need for such stringent measures required of a fellow African to travel to their neighbourºs country, was the agreement between SA and Kenya made last year utter hogwash i.e. of reducing the number of days to wait for processing of tourist visas to maximum seven as reported here?

What is wrong with Diana?
This lady is totally unreasonable. My close friend's daughter and my sister (at different times of the year / different applications) have complained about being treated like children - with no dignity at all. Additionally, they laugh at you when you look frustrated, yet the applicants have everything on the requirements list - only that some things change when at the counter, e.g. end date for medical aid and stalling so that the medical aid expires and visa is denied, and she (Diana) asks for a police clearance for someone who only came home for a month or two, on holiday. The other two years have been in SA, hence SA police clearance. Diana first accepts the applications (after looking through them), then calls you each day with an additional item to bring, one that's not specified in the requirements. The problem is that we are at their mercy and they take full advantage of that. I wonder if these posts are ever read. I really pray so. I hope something is done about it.

VISA APPLICATION
Please can someone assist with an urgent requirement . A colleague from our Nairobi Office is planning to come to SA on urgent business and we have booked his flight to leave on Sunday 8th of March . He went through VFS Global and applied in good time . His name is Billy Mwangi and his reference number is SANA/230216/0018/01 His date of birth is 07/03/1992 . he has now been told that the VISA will not be ready and his passport is with the SA High Comm . They have requested an interview and this has been scheduled for next Wednesday , which will mean that we have to change flights and incurr additional expense which i am sure you will agree is not ideal .
Please can someone send me a mail and copy in billy@wild-eye.co.za to see if we can expedite this process and allow him to fly on time . Our companies sell tourism and we bring many tourists to Kenya each year . Your urgent attention will be much appreciated .

ill staff
I went to the embassy had all the required but the incomplete south African clearance. I was informed I could begin processing but when I received the clearance I was to take it to the embassy which I did by handing it to the dark lady. Believing my application was almost ready I returned to check and the old lady told me I had not handed in my clearance. Meaning missy over there either hid my clearance or whatever she did with it who knows. God save your soul cause the anguish you cause others is taking you straight to the pits of....

VISA
Dear Sir/Madam,

ATT: High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa,

I humbly request to be granted my visa and collect it tomorrow to enable me travel as scheduled on Sunday, 24 January 2016 to Johannesburg and return back to Nairobi on Wednesday, January 27 2016.

I submitted my application on Monday 18th, receipt number SANA/180116/0027/01, Passport No. A2453398 . I understand that Visa application process requires 7 working days. However, kindly understand that I managed to get my new passport on January 15 2016 afternoon. I could therefore have only submitted my application on Monday 18th morning. I had lost my old passport.

I trust you will understand my position and grant my request. Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Onesmus.
