How long it takes to process a visit visa?
Normally in the past I had a very good experience with the Consulate-General Mumbai, getting visa within a week time, last time I remember it was in 3 days. But this time it's over a month, I submitted my application on 23rd December 2016 but still today 25th January 2017, the reply I get "it is under process."

Can anyone help me?

@Pratik: Btw when did you apply for your CSV visa and when did you get a rejection?

@Batman: the criteria is vague indeed. I know someone who has submitted his application 4th time in a row in the last 1 year.

@Pratik: No doubt about that yes VFS should know these nuances. However, it depends from person to person. I once had a VFS guy in Delhi guide me completely through it. He knew his shit inside out. Mumbai on the other hand, I received ignorant responses hence I always ask to speak to the manager of the VFS branch. He usually knows better than the lot.

@Dino
The consultant did not advise me to send in the resignation letter, I prepared a motivation letter along with the resignation letter after reading rejections here in this forum. That's my point, the rejection criteria is SO VAGUE.

The consultant is PABC.

@Batman: Same case as mine then. My university is also terrible but for some reason, my SAQA took 1.5 months.

@Pratik: I would have surely given you a list of all these documents but they are very subjective.

Example: One ICT visa candidate was asked to submit a relationship document between the Indian and the SA company. The other one, despite of having submitted this, was rejected and was asked for an ID of all employees he would be training and working with in SA when he has moved there. Not just this, these ID copies need to be attested by a commissioner of oaths in SA. These documents are nowhere mentioned but required on a case to case basis.
