Any one can tell me about the visa in Research area, if visa delayed process to speed up by the consulate.
I am waiting for my visa from last three months still in embasy .
YOu email mashaba and straight rejection, this is how it works.
unfortunately nothing can be done on Visa , everyone is on their mercy. Seems they do not require Indian tourists.
how long does it take to get a tourist visa to southafrica! its been already 23 days and i am still waiting. I have a flight in a weeks time. I am worried shall i have to cancel my trip and all the bookings! is there anyone who can serious take a call on this. I applied through VFS. VFS says we dont have any obligation after we transfer ur docs to SA Consulate. When i call SA consulate in mumbai, these people will tell me to follow up with VFS people!
Can anybody help me out on this with a suggestion. TIA!

Hi, can you confirm if south africa tourist visa requires leave approval letter from employer? I have all my return tickets and hotel tickets booked and available with me with sufficient proof of finances?
Thats a very long time that your application has been pending for. I personally know people who applied in October-early November and have got their CSV/ ICT visas.
As much as anyone discourages this practice, I suggest calling the consulate and speaking to Mashaba directly.
@Dino: I already mailed you yesterday.
I called the consulate just now and told that I submitted the application in August and haven't received anything yet. The guy asked for my passport number and checked the status. He said that my application is with Mumbai officials and don't know when it will be processed.
Any idea what could be the issue? Any suggestions what to do next?
