Most SA varsities will open their application windows for the following year from around April or May.My advice is APPLY AS SOON AS THE APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN.

This will allow you to get your admission letter on time and so that you can apply for your study visa on time.Do not wait to apply towards closing date,since international students normally have limited spaces at some varsities.

Most application forms can be downloaded online

STUDY PERMIT
May someone furnish me with information on how students who are doing their A Levels in Zimbabwe apply for Varsity in South Africa. My son is writing his A Levels this year and he wants to do his tertiary in SA. Warm regards

Requirements child's permit

I had the same scenario and I got info directly from vfs SA about this.
1. If the child hasn't travelled out of SA(passport never stamped), you qualify to apply their visa here in SA on your permit as a dependant.
If child is schooling, you do study permit.
If passport is stamped (kana akambobuda my SA) then u have to apply their permits Ku zim.
U can call vfs SA on this, they will help or email them they respond within 24hrs.

Also applied in August for a CSV ...nothing yet !! Maybe totombokanganwa coz reading other comments of people that applied later than us getting their outcome will just depress us more haha!
