Problems with documents
If you live in Ireland and is trying to get documents from Home Affairs, I have a few email addresses for the Head Office as I struggled to get my paperwork in order for my passports email me on mklootwyk@mweb.co.za and I will give them to you it is useless to talk to the call centres.

SA Embassy Dublin
In my experience the Embassy is far more helpful and efficient than it ever has been in the past. The girls there are very helpful and do their very best to follow up on applications.
SA Citizens living abroad need to realise that the Embassy is not Home Affairs. The girls there have to follow up the littlist of queries with Home Affairs in SA and Home Affairs are VERY slow.
They always answer the phone in Dublin and respond to emails asap.

Easy numbers
How on earth can they justify only opening at 9-12am??? Flew from Johannesburg to Doha to Paris to Dublin to get visa in! I get there at 12:13am and she wouldn't accept the visa come back tomorrow was her response. Great another 200km plus round trip tomorrow! Lazy is the only word to describe the staff. Not one bit accommodating.

Passport Renewal
I don't really know what is happening in South African Embassy it looks like nothing is working there, i sent my passport for renewal since April and till date i have not received it i call and don't have a clue with the situation. Last year i sent my daughter's passport for the same reason and it took two years before we got it. Can someone take responsibility of this and act on it now as it is tanishing the image of a great country like South Africa.
