Corruption
The South African Embassy in Beijing is totally corrupt! They are cheating everyone out of money. The contact numbers and emergency contact numbers all and if you lucky only reach the one and same person. The only way to solve the problem is to try and get someone not corrupt at SA home Affairs to intervene.

No Embassy Stafff
Five months waiting for a passport. No one answers the phone or works at the embassy. Looks like I am stuck here indefinitely.

Embassy contact number
+86 10 8532 0000 call was answered in less than 30 seconds.

Pleasant and helpful service received.

Whoever decided to use those utterly confusing code brackets is the biggest fool alive.

South African government service as pathetic in China as it is in South Africa!!
I haven't tried to contact the SA embassy in Beijing for about one year. It's something I hate doing because it's a massive headache! They are useless, don't answer phones, emails bounce back and postmaster says "undeliverable". Today, I tried again, flashbacks to last year...nothing has changed! Cannot get through to them, telephone numbers are out of use, emails undeliverable.

I'm South African, sad to say, and on days like this...I remember what made me leave the place. They are lazy, lazy, lazy....that's all! Lazy and inept. It wasn't always like this...just in the last 20 years it started to decline.

Shame on you
There are no South African mission representatives in Beijing , people are there for their own mission. We are on our own .

Useless
Contact the SA embassy in Beijing is the same as you contact a dead person, what a waste of time, phone never get answered and email send back postmaster. The SA embassy employees are only there for a jolly time and steeling tax payers money. SA Govt. must start think about purchase a few Robots they will do a much better job.

South African Embassy, China
What a waste of time. I have sent 3 different emails to Beijing and Shanghai. Postmaster returned emails saying email address does not exist.

Nearest subway stop is Agricultural Exibition Centre, exit the subway station and turn right. The Agricultural Exibition Centre will be on your left. Cross the road at the intersection and walk down Dongzimen (about 200m) South African Embassy is on your right.

Hopeless telephone and email contacts
I wish to endorse what the other comments say about the inaccessibilty of our embassy in Beijing. The telephone numbers are eithe ever answered or they are obsolete. As for the email addresses, it seem they do not exist at all. Very disappointed.
