Advice
I have experienced the same problems in corrupt South African Embassies in West Africa. No doubt you will read similar comments for a host of embassies across Africs.

Would recommend you contact directly the Department of Home Affairs in Pretoria, South Africa. The last time I did this, they sent an officer up to the relevant Embassy and issued mine as well as others' visas double quick. As to the standard regulatory inhumane fat ladies at the front desk, I doubt they still have jobs, as well as the head councillor.

Those shameful two Ethiopian ladies are not polite to entertain people. They do not know what they are doing. The people are suffering because of them. The do not respect the deadliness. I have submitted all the supporting documents to get issuance of my study permit and accepted all the documents and they have been appointing me to issue visa one week later. But after one week they are asked me another document that was not raised when was applying for. These two ladies are corrupted.

Concern
After reading the comments of many people, I become very worried as a proud S.African that 1 or 2 people's action at the embassy cause so much grief and unhappines. Is ther perhaps a manager who can attent to the messages/complaints. I have visited Ethiopia on various occations and has never been treated like trash, why should we do that to them. Afterall we are all Africans.Manager, please help

Refund
Can the Embassy refund me for missing my class, for missing my flight, for missing my days (standing at your 'iron gates') just because you couldn't keep your deadline (after appointing me) to issue my study permit? The Embassy needs a serious rebuke (if need be by the Ethiopian government for victimizing its citizens). Ohh yeah, do the people at the Gate and the Visa section even have supervisor(s)... And what phone number are you giving us/posting....? Its really shame that an institution that represents a country that is too well aware of the scares of inhuman actions and behavior fails to respect the most primary ideals humanity and its virtues.

I think I'm too proud to ever again apply for any kind of Visa in SA, which is a pity as really enjoy the Country and its people.
