Inhumane treatment of my partner
As a white UK citizen working in South Africa, my black partner has the unfortunate circumstance to deal with this outfit in Accra, being of Liberian birth. I have never heard of such uncivil and inhumane treatment of applicants. I wonder if there is even a pratise of racial intolerance there. I wonder to report it to media, but like the previous commentor, perhaps this will have to be conserved for proper legislative action.

I can only surmise that previous comments of suggestive dodgy dealings at this outfit can only be well founded based on the frustrations and judgement of my spouse and visa consultant in attempting to secure my partner's visa extension for South Africa.

For potential applicants, unless otherwise priveleged, I suggest you would have better luck with the Abidjan High Commission branch. Otherwise you may have to queue from 2am in the morning and wait 9 hours to go meet someone "official@ who tells you to go away with your valid visa application.

Surely a sorry show for South African foreign representation.

Can There Be Sanity ?
I humbly wish to advise that the activities be streamlined at the Accra Embassy ! Visa Applications can be by appointments if possible. The Consular section must be specific on the dates Visa applicants should pick their visas. In other words, the Consular section must be specific on how much time to allocate to each application and tell Permit Applicants exactly how long it takes to process their applications; People get stranded and loose so much due to these inefficiencies at the Embassy.

Thanks

THE COUNSELLOR
SOUTH AFRICAN HIGH COMMISION
LABOURNE-ACCRA.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

I write to inform you about current developments on activities going on at the South African embassy here in Ghana. It has come to light that most of the applications submitted at the embassy, has being going through artificial delays which is being caused by the High Commissioner , visa agents and other embassy staffs.
The question is what steps are the home affair in South Africa is taking to stop this problem of delay, Bribery and bureaucracy at the embassy.
There has been an instance where visa agents walk to the offices of the counselor with envelopes and bags containing passport for visa issuance without going through the main visa procedures which obviously shows that there is something fishy going on.
The point is, there should be some level of justice on how decisions are taken on visa issuance, especially the habit of delay which sometimes goes through big organizations and the government ministries, it even came to a time when the media has to intervene to solve this problems of delay. The embassy states that they use five working days for the visa issuance, you will be surprise to know that some applications have been lying there for more than weeks and months without them being attended to, but some special people are being attended to, why this bias and one sided behaviors. We want to know if it is the home affairs in South Africa that, if it has instructed the embassy to work with such infidelity and attitudes.
I write this as a concern applicant, who will like the best for all the parties involved in this case. I will keep my words for now, and see what happens
REGARDS

FRANCIS EMEKO.
