i have a flight form Malaysia to Milan, Italy..and have transit in Riyadh...is it requirement for me to have transit visa???

I am performing umrah on 18 August 2012.Would it be a problem at Jeddah immigration. We scared the immigration would not allow us to enter Makkah if makkah already celebrate eid fitri. Pls help
