No help in assisting Russian citizen in Kampot
Today a Russian citizen was causing problems at the Guest House in Kampot where I stay. He had been forcibly removed from another guest house. The owners of my guest house fed and sheltered him but he was threatening guests who then left. Both the guest house owner and myself tried to obtain help from your Consul in PP and the police would not take action. The man obviously had mental problems or was on drugs. It is a shame that your Embassy would not assist unless police were involved. The Russian citizen was sent via tuktuk to another town (Kep) where I do hope he does not cause further problems to himself or others. I have been to Russia and was treated well by Russians and it is a beautiful country. As is Cambodia and Cambodians. Unfortunately I do not have the same opinion of Russian Embassy or Consul in Phnom Penh.
