Good Day! I am South African citizen, my daughter’s father is a Romanian citizen,my daughter was born in South Africa. After birth I went to the home affairs Offices to register for her birth certificate and they officer refused to add my fiancé’s details to our daughter birth certificate without my fiancé’s present and I had all his documentation with me.what do I need to do to register my fiancé’s details on our daughter’s certificate?
SIR, my fiancee miss Julia Nyarko has been in contact with your embassy. She is Romanian, I am Danish. Her case is not quite ordinary. She is p.t. in Johannesburg with friends. We have faced demands of bribe on virtually every step. Could we kindly ask for accompanying her to the airport till after check-in, I cannot afford ANY MORE Afro-bribe, really! I try to help some south african friends to obtain a bussines visa for Romania on short notice. Excellent and professional service from Romania Embassy staff. For any issues phone Embassy and ask for Consul Ionescu, extremelly profesional guy, he will find a way to help you.
I was told by someone at the embassy that I need to make an appointment 4 days before my flight, on a Saturday (which they don't work on) and my flight is scheduled for the Tuesday. Apparently they try to issue the visas immediately. Is this true?
I can only echo Penny’s sentiments and experience with this embassy and add that this is by a country-mile the worst attitude I have ever encountered from anyone in Foreign Service. Dreadful communication skills and childish representatives; good luck in promoting business and tourism to this country...
