visa
My husband applied for Qatar as a Commissioning engr.. His agency processed his papers and after 3 weeks the agency informed my husband that his application for visa was denied. What would be the cause of denial? He worked at Qatar ;last January but was not able to finish his contract, but was given an NOC by his company. Hope you can give us clarification on this matter. Thanks...

requirement needed for visit visa
Miss Saniata. The authenticated support document with stamp by the Qatar embassy in Qatar is not required. It only apply to Filipinos going to Dubai. One of the "kotong" scheme of BID personnel.

If I were you I'd go to the Public Attys Office and file a complaint or file a case in court against the specific person who disallowed you to travel not the government so that we can finally eradicate these "kotong" people .Let us fight otherwise OFWs will always be the milking cows of these BID people. It is our "Constitutional right" to TRAVEL, remember that.

Invitation Letter & SPA
I am sure the requirement of invitation letter specially the SPA is not a rquirement to enter Qatar. These are requirements only of the crocodiles in the Phil customs. I have an officemate who filed a case in court and I herd he was successful in the removal of the custom "kotong" personnel.

If you were not able to fly to Qatar because you were not allowed by the customs "kotong" men then you can bring them to court. PAO and other public Attys will always be available to help. STOP "KOTONG" in the airport.

renewal of residence visa
My residence visa is expiring on Nov. 23, 2010. Im not in Doha now. If i enter Doha on November 21, would it not cause a problem? When should I renew my visa? After November 23 or earlier than November 23? Do I have to undergo another medical exam for the renewal of residence visa? Please guide me...

Scar on X-ray
Medical commission here is very strict especially on "Scars" or even "Calcification" which should not be present in your X-ray. But as you've said your cured already, you can give it a try. Here's what you should do:

Once this company issued you a working visa, you have to go thru the procedure of having it authenticated at the Qatar Embassy. You have to go to the nearest DHL. This will take 5-8 working days. The requirements will be the print out visa, Fit to Work medical report from accredited clinic of Qatar Embassy-(DHL will give a list and medical exam includes XRAY), NBI, picture etc.. Should you be lucky and the scar will not be seen in the local X-ray, then most likely you'll get your visa authenticated. Go to POEA for other formalities.

Once in Doha, you'll undergo Xray again at the medical commission for the issuance of your Working Permit. If the scar will not be seen in the x-ray, then you'll definitely get your "IKAMA" in a week! Good Luck!

hi,
i used to work oversea for an australian company and finished a few projects with them but on my last project i was diagnose to have acute TB, so i was sent back home to recover, after a yr and a half same company called me and asking if i can worked for them in Doha Qatar this time, now my question is will Qatar be kind enough to issue a working visa for me even though i have a scar on my lungs seen at my X-rays even though i am cured for almost a yr?
