At the Qatar Border, the Qatari immigration authorities ask you to provide your original Iqama with the passport. Well, in KSA no sponsor allows you to keep the original Iqama and the passport in your possession together at the same time. Is it compulsory officially to provide the original Iqama at the border or this tactics is used just to discourage the expatriates to visit Qatar by road.

I am working for an academy which is linked to Al-Baha University's English preparation year. I checked on the website to see if a visa was needed and it stated that teachers in Saudi Arabia can get a visa on arrival in Doha. However, at the Jeddah International Airport, I was informed that only university teachers have this privilege. I had already booked my flights to and from Doha, but could not board the plane because of this problem. Please advise.
Kind regards
I am planning to visit Qatar by road during coming Eid holidays. I am Indian national working in Saudi Arabia. Can I get visitor visa for myself & family? I am an engineer with SABIC. What document I need & what is the fees?
