I am from Goa ( former Portuguese Colony),India working in Fort McMurray,Alberta,Canada.I would like to apply for the Portuguese BI and the Passport.
My Birth is registered in Portugal.Parents are already been registered in Portugal.
*I would be very grateful if you could please let me know the Procedures and documents required to apply the Bilhete de Identidade (BI)
*can I send my application through the post or Do I have to come come personaly to the Consulate?

Hello,
I paid for my id card in August and went into the office; however, it is now mid october and I have still not heard anything. I also cannot get through on the phone. help?

We are trying to get a hold of someone and it is impossible. We are Canadians living in New Zealand and can you please tell me how to get a hold of someone. My husband was born in portugal and we need to have our children's birth certificates certified before they will let us apply for their Portuguese ID card . We have to get this done by a Canadian Portuguese Consulate. How are we supposed to do this????? We had almost everything done and they said now we have to do this! This is rediculous. Please help as we are getting extremely frusturated.
