Consulate-General of Portugal in Manchester

Desde fevereiro que estou a tentar fazer a marcacao para renovar os meus documentos, sem nunca ter tido uma resposta. E ja estou sem documento valido.
Preciso de viajar. Ja o mesmo aconteceu com a minha prima e outros amigos tambem.

Shocking service the Consulate provides!!!
I too have been trying to get hold of the incompetent people who work at the Manchester Consulate with no luck, no reply to faxes or email and their phone number is only for information i.e. no one answers it.

I rang the London Consulate today to see if I could get my passport renewed there as it expires end of June 2014, but they say they work per region and were unable to help me. I then rang the London Embassy and they said I had to email the Manchester Consulate to complain but if they don't reply to my requests for passport renewal then there's no chance they are going to reply to my complaint! The person I spoke to said that there are only 3 people now working at the Manchester Consulate, some have retired, some have left hence the problems we're having. He said they have received tonnes of complaints about them. I have lived here for 22 years and this is the most appaling service I have experienced! Definitelly worth looking into British Citizenship! Does anyone know what Governing Body they answer to? I've looked but can't find anything!

The service is simply appaling! Shameful! I can't believe thats how we get treated by our own people!

E uma vergonha ter ser Portuguesa..que service este tao incompetente..ja ando a tentar ligar a mais de duas semanas e esta sempre interrompido. INADEMISSIVEL.. claro que nao esta interrompido, eles nao querem estar e com trabalho..e mais facil tomar cha do que atender clients.. Ja nao sei mais o que fazer,preciso renovar o passaporte..E UMA VERGONHA.

Há muita coisa que se poderia dizer sobre o Consulado Portugues em Manchester ou Londres.....É uma vergonha do modo que os portugueses são tratado quando se trata de renovar um documento tao importante como o B.I. ou Passaporte. Tenho 20 anos na Englaterra e sempre foi o mesmo problema quando se trata da Portuguese Embassy. Porque não é possivel que em quase 20 anos a Portuguese Embassy não tenha melhorado!!!! Seria mais facil se tornar Bristish!!!!

I can not get in contact with this place.... I have however spoken to a machine everytime I have phoned, I sent details required, but no reply !! Is it easier to renew a passport by traveling back to Portugal ?? I think so !

Pelo que leio nestes últimos comentários feitos aqui nesta pagina, o meu caso muito longe de ser isolado, ha mais de dois meses que a minha esposa tenta fazer e alterar uma marcação pra renovar os passaportes e não ha qualquer resposta por parte do consulado, seja por mail, telefone carta ou fax, não ha meio algum a que se dignem responder. Compreendo perfeitamente que o volume de trabalho tenha aumentado consideravelmente, mas isso e facilmente resolvido com a contratacao de mais mao de obra paga com os impostos que pagamos, afinal e pra isso que os pagamos.
