Black Youths refused bail in Portugal, because of the color of their African skin in an alleged rape case
Fresh revelations have come out concerning the reason behind the refusal of the Prosecutors handling the investigation of the case involving the young Holidaymakers who were recently accused of raping two of British girls bail in Portugal.

Documents made available to TAO NEWS clearly indicate that the Portuguese Authorities refused to grant the 3 youths bail because of the color of their skin. The accused persons are all black holiday makers from Africa hence the need by the Portuguese trial Judge to deny them bail.

Also charged by the police in the rape case is a youths who was never involved in any type of sexual act with the said British girls as well as an under aged teenager who is said to be related to one of the accused persons from Cape Verde Islands including an African Youth.

The court papers which reads like the Charge Sheet issued by the Office of the Prosecutor, depicts the youths as those from Africa whose government cannot be held accountable should the accuse persons jump bail or will never be made to appear in court should the need arise..

This is in spite of well accepted International legal norms which can be applied on the countries that the alleged youths come from to force them return to Portugal to face trial. A situation which some well know legal minds who refused to have their names in print said was not normal. That the Portuguese legal system often favors whites more than blacks who are caught on the wrong side of the law.

The youths who have been kept among hardened criminals and deplorable prison conditions since their arrest over 8 months ago in Lisbon, have not been allowed full access to their legal representatives to enable them be briefed about the latest developments on the said rape case.

The Portuguese Authorities-after keeping the accused persons in prison for several months, – suddenly decided to charge the young man who invited the youths to spend their vacation with him in his grandmother’s residence in Portugal.

The young man who expressed shock at the development has decided to make available all the telephone conversation he has been having between him and the alleged rape victim who has been in communication with him on several occasions without the know of her over protective parents who innocently denied their daughter never had consensual sex with the said man. .

Unaware both the victim and one of the accused persons reside in Manchester in England

Although it is not yet clear, why the Police waited for 8 months before finally deciding to belatedly charge him with rape while ignoring earlier statement he made to the police on the matter. In spite of the fact that one of the victims of the rape case, had earlier alleged in her written statement to the police that she had consensual sex with the said guest who invited the youths to holiday with him in Portugal.

Besides it is not known if the Police in Portugal will equally drag the man who again went on to have an affairs with the said rape victims hours after leaving the very police station where one of the victims asserted in a recorded conversation that they had no intention of pressing charges against any of the accused persons since what they had with the said youths was consensual sex adding further that it was the police who forced them to press charges against the accused persons.

The prosecutors in the case are yet to reveal when the matter will come up for hearing-while some believe the entire case revolves around efforts to improve the already soured se relationship between the Police in Lisbon And their British counterparts

Urgent Shengen Visa Required
Both my partner and I are disabled and need help with our visa's for Portugal through the Mancheter consulate/embassy. The email links provided on this site do not work and just bounce back, the telephone number provided does answer but the automated service which asks you to leave a message in option 0 does not call you back. How are we to get our visas? My partner has a South African passport with an unlimited UK residency so we need a shengen visa for him to travel to Porto Santo but we live in Scotland so the Manchester consulate/embassy is our only option but there is no way at all to contact them!! Can somebody help us, please? My email address is: myfriendlynne@yahoo.co.uk
If someone could contact me I will provide my telephone number so we can try to resolve this urgent issue. We are both partially blind so we need to speak to someone in person to help us with out enquiries.
