If your university help you to get appointment in UAE and embassy in Pakistan is close. Then there is no need of permanent residence in UAE. My one friend got visa in same way.

Embassy opening up is one thing but them accepting visa applications is another.
There were rumors before that Embassy will open up in December and now december is over.
In which university and in which course?? I am also a student here in Portugal. Where are you from in Pakistan which city??
The embassy will be open in the mid of January. there are 50 % chances for the opening in January 2019.
I have got admission in Portugal University and now Embassy is not receiving in application

IMPORTNAT: We send the list of family reunion visa cases to the Portuguese Foreign Ministry requesting for issuance of visas to the family members of Pakistani community residing in Portugal.
