You can move to Scotland only if they join EU, keep in mind the cold weather too,. They joining EU, will take at least a year, only if people vote for joining EU, if you planning to move now, move to Ireland...

Sabby, If the British door closes, other safer EU countries still have their doors open.
Sometimes we look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones open for us.
Do a little research online about other EU countries, look up facebook group about Goan in eu cities like Goans in Lisbon, etc.
See where your skills are in demand. I'm sure it'll be hard for the first few years but you will have a better life at the end of it.
