It depends ! Some lawyers send a request to CRC that the MEA verification is stuck so they wish to do it online but in the end it all depends on the officer who review's your file if he has no doubt about the documents then they agree to do it online! In my case i had submitted by grandfathers and mothers birth and their marriage along with my dad's teor and document viegam so they allowed my verification to be done online but then cause of slightly different name on my Passport they sent it back in the queue.. to which my solicitor argued to CRC that it's not needed as it's my dad's birth not mine, so now it's waiting to be reviewed.

Aby the site is Goa online. You have to register and then you can search online for the birth in question.

Jack, I have a query. If the online verification wasn't done during analysis and the file was sent to MEA can it still be done now? I'm asking cause I only learnt about this fairly recently/after my case came up for analysis. The point that the lawyer has to do this I only learnt yesterday.

Yup Terrence is right! If your parent's teor can be found online your lawyer copies that with a sworn affidavit and submits to CRC along with your file but that happens when your case comes up for analysis! If done then they never have to deal with slow coach indian MEA.

Aby
Aby, from what I understand from various posts on this forum is if the birth record is available online then it doesn't come to India for verification. They cross check the birth online and confirm the case if it's a match. Again this is what ove picked up from this forum. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jack. I will try and speak to my lawyer about the online verification. I don't know whether they did it or not although I have verified that it is available online.

Aby, is your case available online? Maybe this new information from Jack can help you out too.
