Also if you do acquire Irish citizenship it’s still best to avoid the UK. The UK has too many immigrants and the native Britons (especially the English) don’t want immigration. Irish salaries are higher than the UK and Ireland has lesser migrants

You can go to Ireland, Norway or another Scandinavian country. You get Irish citizenship after five years of residence and Irish citizens have free movement in the UK.

Working in the US requires a visa. The guys might be overstaying while on an ESTA, but that’s not recommended. It’s grounds for stripping of Portuguese nationality, since the ESTA overstay Rate effects all Portuguese Citizens and the US would remove Portugal from the Visa Waiver list if the overstay rates are high.

Provided you have an OCI, you can be legally stripped of Portuguese nationality for overstaying on an ESTA, since you wouldn’t be considered stateless.

Brexit is done and dusted there's nothing more to it this news media will talk all about it but eu And Brits have vis a vis rights to Europe and UK as decided by brexit policy. However you can't control racist or physical assault by the back gang of whites. this remains

Very true John, actually Dailymail, just like the Sun, the Express, the Independent, are more hard right-wing news agencies. The Express is the worst (having their agenda set on watching for the slightest crack to happen to the EU). The BBC is more center-left I guess.

But yes, this was one of the factors that fueled brexit. You may meet a few nice Brits in the UK, but that doesn't mean that they're keen on you staying permanently, unless you're with extremely essential skills, and even then, outwardly, you'd still be lumped together with other immigrants coming to stay in the country. The current points based system is meant to sift through people to find those who are the most skilled (preferably doctors, nurses, scientists, software engineers etc). I was set on moving to Scotland but due to Covid, I couldn't move on time, so I chose Ireland, but in the way how things are proceeding with the UK, I'd prefer Ireland.

Most Goans I reckon, who do take up Portuguese citizenship don't show much of an inkling to being Portuguese. It's just used as a "pass" to move to the UK to eat up all the benefits, which led to the Brits wanting this to stop.

Immigrating to the UK
The Goans in the UK are tone deaf. They are in a country where a significant portion of the population doesn’t want them there. Most English people do not want Goan immigrants in the UK. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or misinformed.

Comments from Conservative MP for Kettering, Philip Hollobone in twenty sixteen regarding Goans using Portuguese Passports to enter Britain

Similarly a commenter on a daily mail article about Goans using Portuguese Passports to enter the UK says

“If Portugal wants to give these Indians passports , then they should be ready to support them , NOT pass the problem onto the UK Taxpayer”

Even if you qualify for the points based system, you should avoid the UK. If you’re interested in money and only speak English, Irish salaries are higher than UK ones. In my own case, I would qualify for a permit under the points based system but I have absolutely no intention of immigrating to the UK.
