Step one - Correct your father’s name in your birth certificate by showing the municipal birth authorities his Documento Para Viagem. You might have to pay them a bribe, but the corrections can be done

Step two - Apply for a new Indian passport and change your name to John Miguel Joao Fernandes. You need an affidavit, advertisements in two papers etc. This process is easy and any passport agent can help you with it. Correcting your name in the Aadhar Card is not necessary since the Central Registry in Lisbon only requires a copy of your passport. Don’t submit your application to the consulate in Goa or any other consulate as it’s a waste of time, submit it directly in Lisbon

Stripping of Portuguese Nationality
John

The ground for stripping of Portuguese nationality can be only possible if any individual has acquired through fraudulent means as this is common ground and justifiable means to revoke nationality in almost most country
To revoke one citizenship you should be convicted of serious offence of nature such as terrorist's and heinous crime against humanity and you posses risk to civil society or the country . you have the legal right to challenge in the court of the law and that's not the easy process , this is even more difficult in western countries the kind of justice system they have .its impossible to revoke any citizenship once granted to individual if one has has overstayed his visa ,however the country's like USA can strip granting ESTA waiver to Portuguese or any country if it feels that Portuguese are overstaying in the country's. to know further Portuguese citizenship is offered to goan those born after sixty one as children of Portuguese parents based on the Portuguese child born abroad .there is no provision in Portuguese law to grant Portuguese citizenship only to goan born after sixty one but rather on the law based on descent .ie children born abroad to Portuguese parents . if Portuguese government want to deny Portuguese nationality to goan born after sixty one than it has to pass law in parliament to refused to grant all Portuguese nationality to own Portuguese child born outside Portugal and this will affect all Portuguese settle anywhere in the world , which is impossible and this will never happen.

Normally i don't comment and never visit on this site as one individual ask to explain this issue so i have to clarify this as few people start abusing each other here

Still this is on papers there is lot of investigation and clearance required for rip you off

You are entitled for attorney to challenge those decisions

How so many sikhs are getting citizenship in us? Your are Even aware?

They cross borders thru Mexico and stay illegally for atleast three years or more they heir attorney to present themselves in immigration office and after few hearings the officer incharge grants them green card.. This is all done by agents even the officers in there are corrupt in the most powerful country even tarvotti guys have done this in USA then they Royal Caribbean cruise reached the us shores many never returned back and they claimed us citizenship

It's not so easy to strip any one of anything so easily in abroad

Living in Ireland vs UK is a big point to investigate. ... If you want to save money either stay in or move to the UK. A few facts: consumer prices in Ireland are thirteen percent higher than in the UK, rent prices in Ireland are fifty two percent higher; grocery prices in Ireland are eleven percent higher.

Nationality if fraudulently acquired is revoked immediately by most countries regardless of whether they are first world or third world. Copy and paste the below link from the Dutch Government and look at point two -

https://www.government.nl/topics/dutch-nationality/loss-of-dutch-nationality/revocation-of-dutch-nationality-by-the-authorities

It states that Dutch authorities can revoke your nationality if “You committed fraud during the option procedure or naturalisation, for example identity fraud. Fraud includes making a false declaration, practising some form of deception or failing to mention relevant facts. In this case, you will become stateless if you no longer hold your original nationality”

Are you illegally in the US ? Try applying for or renewing your Citizen Card or Passport at a Portuguese Consulate in the US and they’ll immediately begin questioning you.

The Portuguese authorities are well aware than the US can remove Portugal from the Visa Waiver list at any point. They previously removed Argentina due to their citizens overstaying. This would affect all Portuguese citizens.

Denaturalisation of nationality
No nationality except those from third world countries can be removed easily.

Taking away ones nationality is not as easy as being mentioned here specially Portuguese as even if fraud then question is put why was he granted.

a Indian terrorist falsely acquired Portuguese nationality and till date there are no answers of his renunciation
