Comments on this Consulate-General
Hi John,
thank you for the information, I am regularly checking the updates on the IATA website.
Once EU opens for visa, will apply for the VIsa and then travel by land to portugal have the mandatory forteen days criteria and apply for the BI and passport.
We need genuine people like you to share feedback.
Regards,
Sal
Ezekiel - Perhaps I should’ve, but I hadn’t looked into it that much. Getting a Schengen Visa is quite easy once you have a US visa.
I’m also not in a hurry to emigrate, I am doing okay in India.
Salvador - Germany is only issuing national visas and no tourist visas at present. Something to look into before you plan yourself
Hi All,
Was going to the IATA website, it states if you are travelling by AIR / SEA / LAND from India, you
need to be quarantine for forteen days in portugal.
I plan to get a tourist visa for germany as I am already fully vaccinated and then travel to portugal remain in quarantine for fourteen days and then I apply for by BI and PP
Regards,
Sal
I came across a Goan here in Wembley. He received his assento recently here while he was on Indian passport family visa with his dad.
He couldn’t get appointments in UK for Cartão and Pp so he went to NETHERLANDS and got it done within a week. I think Indians if vaccinated both doses can travel to Netherlands so they might try
That's great John, it makes things easier for you. Why didn't you apply for Portuguese citizenship earlier, since you've been travelling to Europe regularly, it could've made things easier.
Yeah it wasn't my intention to deal with the consulate either, but now as long as Portugal forbids "non essential" travel to their country, I'm at the mercy of the consulate.
I am not in Spain, I’m in Bombay. I have a five year Spanish Schengen visa since I travel to Spain and Europe for business frequently.
Dealing with the Goa Consulate is a pain. They do things very, very slowly. The only scenario under which I’ll be delayed is if India experiences a huge third wave and Spain reimposes restrictions on business travellers from India. Hopefully that doesn’t happen.
Que bom! That's great, you should be able to finish your process at a higher speed than the rest of us. Btw, how did you end up in Spain?
No I don’t. My birth should be registered by next year.
I don’t intend to get any documents from Goa though. I have a five year multiple entry Spanish Schengen Visa so depending on the situation, I’ll use it to apply from Lisbon. Spain is permitting entry from India for business visits. There are no border checks when driving from Spain to Portugal.
I'm not sure if I've asked you this before, but do you already have your Cartao and passaporte with you? Or are you also waiting
Aren’t you the guy who had their identity impersonated ? Did the Home Office or SEF reply to you yet ?
