She can apply for her documents without you having a CC or Passport. She only needs her assento de nascimento. Getting a new appointment with her name will take more than a few years (they won’t allow her to enter on your appointment)

I’d assumed your daughter was a minor and you holding an EU passport would’ve helped her in getting a Schengen visa.

My daughter is twenty five years. So from what you said i understand that i need to get the CC and passport for myself first and only then can she apply and get the CC and passport herself ? Did i get that right ?

Also, if i do not need the CC and passport for myself, is there no other way around?

First Appointment for a New Citizen Card
I received my first email from the Consulate General of Portugal in Goa for an appointment next week to apply for a New Citizen Card.
Thing is I want to make the Citizen card and Portuguese Passport for my daughter and not for me.
Do I need to carry all of mine as well as my daughter documents for the appointment? Do I need to mention this somewhere? Can someone please help me know what the process is from here onwards?

Also, does anyone know how long could the remaining process take after this appointment until she gets the Portuguese passport ?

Now that you’ve received an appointment in your name go and apply for the CC and passport yourself (your daughter won’t be allowed in). Get an OCI which will allow you to live and work in India indefinitely.

A minor child of an EU citizen gets a Schengen visa very easily, you can apply for your daughter’s documents in Portugal.

The Citizen Card appointments are not granted easily. There’s a long backlog.
If you miss this appointment your daughter won’t get one for many years.

Jason if u wish to get ur daughter a Portuguese passport u need to book an appointment in her name for CC if her birth is registered in Lisbon n has an assento. If she is a minor please visit the goa consulate website. Don't make a fool of ur self here we have punchers on this forum.

Currently CRC is looking at May twenty one application post sixty one cases.. has he provided a file number.. if no ...then seems he is fooling you... ...in my opinion it's better to give paper's to another genuine agent. .. agent is bluffing.... please do reply to this. along with the agent name.. this has to be brought to light n the agent has to be beaten black blue n green n be dragged around Goa with half moustache chopped, garland of slippers dipped in. human dung...
