Since the Mantralaya of Mumbai is not attesting your Mumbai church documents, You can try an alternative method of apostilling the church marriage certificate through SDM attestation (Sub-Divisional Magistrate Attestation). This method is for personal documents like marriage certificates, birth certificate, educational certificates, etc and the attestation is done entirely in Delhi.

You can contact this agent below and ask if they can attest your Mumbai church marriage certificate through SDM basis. They might be able to help you find the solution to your problem.

The para viagem is available from the year fifty two to sixty one in the Panjim Altinho archives which is near the forest department office. It is stored year wise and names in the file are in alphabetical order... The timing is from nine thirty am till three thirty pm and they're closed on Saturdays and public holidays. Once you find the name on the files, you need to inform the authorities. They will then show you a scan copy of the para viagem on the computer. You identify it as your family and then you'll get a scan photo paper copy of it with an original stamp behind the document to show that it is the orginal itself. You'll get this document a week later. Hope this information is of benefit to you. All the best

Bobby, Three years ago when I asked my agent/advocate for my processo number, to check the progress online, she said that the status is not available online. Only an authorised person is able to physically check the progress in Lisbon.
If you really want to check the progress, you will have to take the processo number to another advocate/agent, sign a POA and only then they will be able to check it for you. But they will charge you for the same.

Thank you for your advice. I got it sorted. If anyone is in the same situation as me, make sure you opt for the AXIS bank payment gateway when you are making the payment. It will allow you to make the mc or visa card payments. Doesn't matter which bank your debit card is of.
