Comments on this Consulate-General
I am not CRC and I am not the issuing authority. When People ask queries and I answer them by telling them to follow the rules of CRC or the issuing authorities.
Nobody is forcing you to follow or believe what I say. You are free do to whatever you wish.
Joe . please can you give me your email address i want to ask you something about bi card . please give me your email address . thanks
Yes there is a reanalysis queue. But it definitely wont take another three years as some say.
Can you send me the process number, I will email CRC for status and let you know. Sometimes it is already registered but lawyers/agents never bother to update you.
Regards
Hi Joe, I had addressed a query to you a week ago. I was hoping for your thoughts on the same. Perhaps you missed my post. Many thanks.
To surrender your Indian passport, you need to apply online for a surrender certificate by paying five thousand rupees.
Please apply below from the passport website
https://www.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/procFormSc
For OCI documents please refer the below website
https://travcoholidays.com/oci/
If someone can pls explain to me how to cancel my Indian passport, I have just received my Portuguese Passport.
I would also like to apply for OCI from within India.
Thanks in advance
Please approach the concerned sub registrar where your civil marriage was registered. Ask them the procedure to correct the marriage certificate.
Usually you have to make an application requesting for correction and you need to attach all relevant proofs.
The govt charge is thousand rupees for marriage correction. However you may have to pay the staff extra for typing the draft.
They usually ask for birth certificate as the main proof. You also have to give other ID proofs and other supporting documents depending on what the staff asks you.
Once the staff is satisfied, the the concerned sub registrar will forward your correction application to higher authorities for the final approval.
Once the higher authorities issue the correction order, then the concerned sub registrar will make the correction on your civil marriage certificate.
I hope your doubt is cleared,
Please understand that peoples opinions don't matter as they are not the issuing authority. So asking people over here for advice is not really going to help you solve the problem.
When you apply online, it is the concerned Mamlatdar who needs to be satisfied with all the documents.
So if you want advice or opinions to clear your doubts then please approach the concerned Mamlatdar's office and the staff will guide you regarding this matter. They will provide you the solution to your problems, specially the problem of not having address proof in Goa. Because after all it is in their hands to issue as they are the issuing authority.
Also applying online is not compulsory as the Mamlatdar also accepts offline applications. So you can approach the concerned Mamlatdar's office, clear all your doubts there and apply there itself.
I hope your doubt is clear
You collect your Portuguese Passport first. After that, when you apply for visa.Earlier the better or you have to pay a fine. When you apply for the visa, you have to surrender your India Passport and other documents that include the electricity bill as well as address proof.
