I had my old bmc birth certificate where my mother's first name only was mentioned and my father's first name. I had to add their second names. I just went to the BMC, showed them my aadhar and pan, my father's aadhar and pan and my mother's Aadhar and pan and they made the correction and gave me the new certificate in fifteen days. You have to just visit the bmc of your ward with your old certificate, show them two proofs and they will add the child's name. Along with the two proofs you will also need to submit your parents' registrar attested marriage certificate, and in my case they also asked to see the Baptism certificate even though they didn't take the copy, they just wanted to see it. Its very simple to do it.

BMC Correction
Thanks for replying. The certificate online does not have the child's name, so that needs to be added. Also Mother’s name is just the first name that is mentioned. The middle and surname has to be added. I appreciate any advice you can provide.
