Affidavit
Thanks Shayne, hope making an affidavit wont be an issue as my grandfather is not alive. Also it's being said that in order to register my parents i will have to go thru an agent as the embassy doesnt accept parents birth and marriage as they stopped accepting cash, DD etc and they''ve closed the acct and payments are taken directly in Lisbon

Approach a lawyer or agent, yes payment has become a headache and you need someone to make the payment in lisbon only!

Make an affidavit and mention the issues and tell them to refer to the marriage certificate!

misspelt name on documents
Hi Shayne, I have registered the birth of my grandmother. Now i will be registering her marriage. Problem is my grandfather birth certificate is damaged including the extract from the Municipality. When we pulled out his Baptism, his first and middle name is misspelled by a letter in each name. Will it be a hindrance in registering the marriage? Pls advise. Appreciate the reply. Thnks

TIME FRAME
Guys I have been repeating my self a million times and none of you seem to a understand a word I say!
I have told you that no one can ever tell you how long things are going to take at the CRC or at The Consulate in Goa, due to fraud things are take thrice the normal time, if you have no patients then you should forget about applying for Nationality!
You should not be asking about time frame in the Forum, because every case is a different case, and different case officers are assigned to deal with the cases, if the officer has doubts or things do not match or they find any forgery then these things are going to take very long, so understated what they are dealing with on a daily basis.
Case before 1961 are be scrutinized a lot because of fraud so the normal time is 6-12 months now thats extended, so if its passed the normal time ask your agent/lawyers/CRC?consulate for updates!
