Dude, are you working for Govt? Dont spread false rumors against Portuguese Government and Nationality Policy. Be grateful for the offering or leave it. But dont spread panic pulse here by quoting such things.
Will i get a SCHENGEN visa if i have a cartao de cidadao. I wish to travel from the uk to the SCHENGEN area and back? I have a indian passport and uk tourist visa and plan to travel in april. Can anyone throw some correct info. Is CC valid or i need a portugese passport for travel from uk to europe and back.
Please don't worry about giving links to CRC. Crc have all the links, they are delibertly slowing down because of the instructions from their(portuguese) govt.

Thanks for your reply, we have followed up with CRC,they are saying it's under process, the last correction was done in April 2016,
