Comments on this Consulate-General
I had asked CRC regarding my father 's pre 1961 birth but it seems they did'nt distinguish between pre and post for this one.

Chantelle, I read in your recent post that the FRRO checks the portuguese passport and other cancelled Indian documents before issuing the visa. Just wanted you to confirm whether they also check the citizen card (cartao), considering the fine they charge depending on the date of issue.
So basically, I just want to confirm that they only check the PP and not the CC (cartao).
Thanks!!!
Thank you for the detail information.
Roy said correctly. I repeatedly came across same question like how much time it takes for BI appointments, how much fees etc, why dont these people go to portuguese consulate website and check for themself first hand instead of asking here and getting answers second hand.
People like you have filled this forum with repeated question all the time, they have been ample of the same repeated question about BI appointments here since the past months and still you fail to notice peoples answers given, please stop wasting time asking the same thing over again when its already been answered before. Take some effort to read.
It takes around two weeks in UAE for BI pin code to receive via post box then u can collect ur BI anytime without appointment. It's better u take appointment for passport and collect your BI at one go.
Passport take around 5 Days, If you are changing your visa from Indian Passport to PP or surrending Passport here then take two letters from Embassy (Date of acquired Portuguese citizenship)
It seems that you are kin of Mickky Pacheco, judging by your absurd reaction. There are characters like Maxy who play the fool here and waste time. He put the same question up with years of his grandparents as 1921/1922 on page 687. Go and check for yourself, instead of showing the world your flithy character.
And yes, the website cant be more simpler. Dont waste peoples time. Have a genuine query, then there are many who can help.
Yes, you have to follow the same process. It has to be translated as well and the translation has to have the same attestation.
