Comments on this Consulate-General
There is nothing you can do but be patient and keep praying. Consulate in Goa nor CRC will entertain any communication as to the verification process. Unfortunately pre 1961 cases of South Goa (Margao) are indeed moving very slowly and mainly at the stage of verification in India. CRC are doing a good job, but until they receive reply on verification, there is nothing they can influence further.

Agent v/s Lawyers
In a previous post, I highlighted pros and cons of using either agents or lawyers, and a decision should be based on your unique circumstances. If you are willing to personally understand and complete all India related documentation, then it is quite easy. Just needs some effort. If not, agents are at hand at offer guidance and convenience. They have zero input on your case with Portuguese authorities, even if some claim to have contacts. It is absolute nonsense. Many fall prey. So if you entrust an agent, avoid the ones who make tall claims without seeing your documents first.
Lawyers in Lisbon are best to expedite but language and follow up can be a barrier. You have to be able to understand them and get them to understand you well. Certainly they take out the non-essential middlemen, but would expect you to do a fair bit of work too. Consider costs of phone calls etc to follow up.
I would personally recommend the following:
a) You handle the entire process in Goa.
b) Contact Fundacao Oriente Panjim to guide you to a good Portuguese translator for your docs and who can even help you draft emails etc.
c) Bernardo Reis seems to be a common name used. Try to speak to friends, forums like this to find out more options. Dont blindly go into it.
Dev borem korum!
P.S: For those illiterate duffers who don't understand English (Roy/Sunny), my above note does conclude it is better to work with a lawyer in Lisbon.
August/ September 2018.
Can anyone please help me. I had applied 15 August 2017 for my birth registration. When can I expect my birth registration done. Thank you much.
God bless.
well you can write to them and email them.and try your luck if they reply well and good.
Thanks for your response.
What should i do?! Why this thing happens to me...people who applied with me got accento...i am praying a lot...i am stress now :(
We have had this conversation couple of times and I had told you that you cannot interfere with the verification process at all. You can represent your own case but you will have to notify the CRC.
