Comments on this Consulate-General
The consular officers are supposed to help their fellow citizens and not boss around. They should offer suggestions and make things easier for their fellow citizens. 2 consular officers from this consulate weren't helpful at all. They think highly of themselves and think that they know it all. You don't answer "THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM" in a very condescending manner to your client.
i applied for my passport renewal on april 25, 2012. my receipt said to pick it up on june 6, 2012. when i got there i was told it's not available yet. i spoke with ms. cora villanueva. she said she will call me when the passport is ready. no call yet as of today, june 13, 2012. i tried calling the number she gave me. it seems nobody answers the phone there and i did not want to leave a message. i want to speak to a person so i can enquire about my passport. my brother in the philippines has a terminal illness and i might need to fly home anytime. i can't do that wirhout my passport. what do i have to do?

I need to have a letter of authority back home,is it possible to have it done by mail or personal? In case is it safe to have it done by mail?
I APPLIED FOR PASSPORT RENEWAL MARCH 25,2011 AND PAID FOR THE MAIL DELIVERY AT THE CONSULATE OFFICE AT WILSHIRE BUT UNTIL NOW I HAVE NOT RECEIVED YET MY PASSPORT, MAY23. I DONT KNOW WHERE TO MAKE FOLLOW UP I HAVE NO RIDE TO GO THE SAID OFFICE. PLS. HELP
im from houston texas.and my passport expired june 09 2010.i want to know where is the nearest place here in texas that i renew my passport.and i just start working in the company and i dont have any vacation yet.i want to know what is the bst i can do.and im a green card and just wat my passport to renew.
