Philippines citizen in custody Guangzhou airport
Dear Sir / Madam
Thursday December 22. I was unsuccessful in ringing Consulate in Guangzhou.

Allegedly, Ms Maricel Tadeo PEREZ is in custody over a gold bar found in her luggage last night,

A fine of 4600 Yuan has been requested but Ms Perez allegedly cannot use traveller's cheques to pay the fine. All her documents are allegedly now held by PRC authorities.

Ms Perez needs Consular assistance to gain her release and use her available money to repay the Consulate. She has been threatened with transfer to higher authorities in Beijing for her ignorance of Chinese travel requirements and she is totally distraught now isolated from from outside contact.

Please assist her release so that she can organise her flights to Australia

Sincerely yours
Allan Ashley
