WEBSITE & LANDLINE - IS IT REALLY WORKING???
Most embassy that i came accross during my stay here in aue have fast, efficient, reliable and accomodating service (well...if you're trying to make your documents legal, that's the service you really want to experience isn' it? besides, their duty is to assist and protect your rights as one of their nationals from foreign countries while you're working so hard and trying to send money in your home country and to contribute something for the economy) but this is not what i had eperienced in abu dhabi. I went to apply for my e-passport since my passport had expired. The service for taking useful information is ok i admit (biometric procedure) well, maybe because the payment has to be made after taking the biometrics, but after that, i can't help myself from swearing. Process takes 4 weeks as indicated in the website and 45 days in the claim stub are like dummy infos! I checked the website after 4 weeks (and i counted 4 working weeks so there will be less room for excuses) and my name is not yet there. After more that 2 months i checked the website again and still my name is not included on the list (what is this???). I called the landline mentioned on the stub and the answering machine gave me an extention number to get connected with regards to my query. The extension number will only ring 4 times and then the line will be cut-off. I don't want to waste more petrol like what i did before that i went to the embassy to claim my new passport and still not available. Until now my name is not on the list and it's been 3 months. Talking about advantages for e-passport and biometrics. And news from the philippines mentioning about OFW having good priviledges from Government services is such a huge LIE! Services sucks and it's true! Ask Filipinos working abroad and you'll definitely know what kind of services the Philippine Government provides to OFW's.
