KUWAIT CITY: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Humoud has reportedly issued a decision to grant expatriates from Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, which were under a visa ban, the right to apply for visit and family visas, says Al-Jaridah daily quoting an informed source.
He disclosed that visas for male and female children will be issued only if they are not above 15 and 18 years of age respectively.
He said the decision also grants Undersecretary Lt General Ghazi Al-Omar the right to approve such applications, which was previously restricted only to the minister.
He explained that the applicants should submit their applications at the immigration offices from where these will be referred to the Undersecretary Office.
The source reiterated, “Citizens from those countries who are working as government employees can now apply for visit or family visas to bring their family members to Kuwait based on the above mentioned conditions”.
Earlier, Nawaf Abdulaziz Al-Enezi, Ambassador of Kuwait, called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at the Prime Minister’s House on Friday and informed him that the kingdom of Kuwait is considering to lift restrictions on issuance of visas to Pakistani workers.
Nawaf Abdulaziz Al-Enezi also informed the Prime Minister that a high powered delegation would be visiting Pakistan soon to recruit doctors, paramedics and workers.
It may be called that Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, during his visit to Kuwait on the sidelines of Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit, had taken up the issue of visas with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who had assured him of looking into the matter.
While talking to Ambassador of Kuwait. Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said that Pakistan and Kuwait enjoy close relations which are growing from strength to strength.
The Prime Minister praised the wisdom and sagacity of the Amir of Kuwait and asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to His Excellency.

Dear Brothers and Sisters Assalamlaikum.
Please don't waste your time requesting pakistani officials to work to open the kuwait visa for pakistanies, This needs guts, willingness and ability to do it, and as you know all these things comes when you are hired on merit, these officials are not hired on merit neither do they come here to solve problem for their countrymen, they are here to enjoy and make big salaries and then get transfered to some other country.
May allah give us sincere and honest people who can work for Pakistan not for themselves. Ameen
