I applied for a Front Office / Telephone Operator job about a month ago and upto now I haven't got any feedback. Do I assume my application was successful since there was no timeframe indicated on when one was to consider there application unsuccessful?

Dear sir/madam.
I applied a visa last year and my Visa application was rejected in the name am young, not married and i lack necessary ties to my country and i might not come back .. I appealed because i have a running business and i take care of my aged mother and my orphaned nephews. I was to come back and i don't tell upto now why i was denied Visa. Have not heard anything till now.. Why is it taking long to get the feedback? Is it right to deny a genuine applicant a Visa.? Can't one be called for interview for further explanation?Waiting to here from you.

unfortunately having escaped the bloodshed in my country, got seriously
sick, that I wondered whether I'll be crippled and disable.
