This SCAM MUST BE STOPPED!
This same idiot approached me via LinkedIn with a proposal of 7% commission to be their agent for raw materials from Jos. Of course, he mentioned the same Lawal. I noticed things didn't add up.

My fear is that:

1. These names may belong to REAL and legitimate individuals whose identity may have been stolen/compromised - Be careful the amount of footprints you leave on cyberspace! and guard your digital devices very well!

2. Some people may not check at all and fall victim of this scam.

I have decided to contribute to this site because at a glance, it saved me from these idiots. I got curious when I saw the so-called Asaki's LinkedIn page and it was bare! However, google alone may be misleading especially if this is a case of identity theft - in which case, you will see the profile of the real Dr. Sasaki and Lawal - who may be innocent citizens oblivious of this scam.

I wish the Japan Life company can see this and advise their personnel appropriately (if the company is genuine and real that is).

Last words:

NIGERIANS ARE NOT FRAUDSTERS!!!

EVERY NATION HAS GOT BAD EGGS, THE CASE OF NIGERIA IS ONLY A MATTER OF PROPORTION DUE TO OUR OVERBLOWN POPULATION.

EFCC may be too busy chasing the more juicy political criminals.

Thanks all, I'm out.

Beware Nigerians
The fraudster has changed his namr from Fumihiro Sasaki to Fumihero Asaki but from the same organization as the ones I have read on this site. He requested to import Brass mineral but Brass is an amalgam and I got suspicious and decided to Google his name and find out more about him. The same fellow Engr. Ahmed Lawal at Jos was included in my mail. Question is if EFCC cannot trace the fellow in Jos with the supplied cell phone number and get him arrested. This is an international syndicate designed to exploit Nigerians. Please beware.

Same Scam
Is there no way we can find these idiots who have wasted my time and money. I never knew I could be scammed. How sad! I actually sent someone to locate the man in Jos and I will report this matter to the federal ministry of mines and also to the raw material agency. The SSS will fish them out. This behavior is just unacceptable.

Dr. Sasaki Scam
Yeah, the same chap contacted me too, through LinkedIN. Iam glad I don't have to do any due dilligence. What I gathered from this site is more than sufficient to convince me this is a Scam. That is why it is good to read widely and get contnuously updated on current affairs

SO CALLED DR FUMIHIRO SASAKI
This same DR Sasaki also cyontacted me via LInkedIn a few days ago with exactly the same inquiries and promises as the ones reported in earlier posts on this site. The trend shows clearly that this is a desperate and disingenuous impostor who should not be taken seriously.I advise you ignore him.

expectations out of scope for the board.
It seems there are a lot of posts here that are out of scope for this forum. It would seem the remit is quite narrow as the intro to posting your comment says : 'share your experiences with the Nigerian Embassy — obtaining visas and other services, locating the building, and so on'... of course it is a publicly viewed forum, and there is a chance somebody else might know the answer and reply, but the site does not promise this. It goes on to say: 'This web site is not operated by the Embassy and your comments and questions will not necessarily be seen by its staff. Please note that this is not a forum for broad debate about the foreign policy of Nigeria, and such topics will be deleted.' Seems to me, if everyone understands the limitations of the forum which is effectively like a noticeboard, and avoids having unreasonable expectations, then nobody will get dissapointed! Thanks J
